Named Funniest Comedian in Chicago by Readers Digest, Julianna Forlano has performed in venues across the US including nightclubs, theaters, comedy clubs, & festivals as well as corporate and private functions. Julianna has shared the stage with some of the most beloved comics on the scene including Suzie Essman, Kathleen Madigan, Hal Sparks, Hannibal Burress and many others. Her political and topical humor can be heard on NPR/ WBEZ Chicago’s Vocalo Project in The Ironic News Report of which she is the host, producer, and head writer. The Ironic News Report, is also a video segment that be seen on Al Gore’s media project currentTV.com. Smart, off-beat and versatile, she is also a talented improv comic, having spent 2 years performing in the New York- based Charred Goosebeak improv group and 2 more years as an ensemble member of Denver’s Comedy Jocks and even more time in Chicago’s Second City Conservatory. While in Oregon, Julianna hosted a weekly news and entertainment show on Oregon Public Broadcasting’s Golden Hours Radio Network. When not on stage, Julianna is a professor at Brooklyn College in the the Department of TV and Radio where she teaches comedy writing.
